The Company was incorporated in Kenya in July 1981 and started its operations in April 1982, initially transacting general insurance business, later diversifying into life insurance in 1992.

Head Office is at Geminia Insurance Plaza, Kilimanjaro Avenue, Upper Hill, Nairobi, and has branches in Mombasa, Eldoret, Kisumu, Kisii, Nyeri, Meru and plans are in place to grow our branches to other towns in Kenya and the region.

• Marine Cargo Insurance – Protects against loss or damage to cargo whilst being transported by rail, road, sea and/or air from the port of loading to the final destination.

• Marine Hull insurance provides covers against loss and/or damage to vessels/ships hull and machinery, materials and other equipments of the vessel including collision

• Motor insurance protects insured against financial loss in the event that the motor vehicle is involved in an accident, burnt or stolen. It also covers third party liabilities.

• Fire & Perils Insurance This insurance will indemnify the insured against the loss of or damage to the property insured arising from fire as well as from allied perils such as earthquake, explosion, Riot and strike, Malicious damage, Special perils A-H, etc.

• Deterioration of Stocks Insurance compensate any loss or damage to perishable goods (e.g.: food items such as fish, shrimp, meat etc.) kept in cold storage which deteriorate due to any unforeseen and sudden physical loss of or damage to the machinery specified

• Loss of Profits (Machinery) Insurance Compensates for the loss of profit incurred by a firm/establishment following the breakdown of machinery insured under the machinery breakdown

• Bankers Blanket Insurance Provides a blanket cover for financial institutions providing compensation for losses arising from employee infidelity, loss of property, forgery, damage to ATMs and much more

• Terrorism & Sabotage Insurance Covers physical loss or damage to building and contents caused by acts of terrorism, malicious damage, sabotage, riots, mutiny and war

• Crop Insurance Provides covers for commercial field crops and additional protection for farms equipment including harvested crop, green house and irrigation facilities

• Livestock Insurance A Livestock mortality cover against losses due to accidental death, diseases of terminal nature, emergency slaughter on advice of a recognized veterinary surgeon and theft of livestock in raising units or paddocks

• Golfers Insurance Covers golfing equipment against accidental loss or damage, hole-in-one as well as public liability and much more.
