Procedure
- A non-governmental organization (NGO) is a non-profit, voluntary citizens’ group that is organized on a local, national or international level.
- All NGO’s must be registered by NGO Coordination Board in accordance with the NGO coordination Act.
Apply In-Person
- Visit the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board offices to obtain application forms to make the application. These forms can also be downloaded online by visiting the NGO Bureau Website.
- Once you obtain the Notification of Registered Office or Contact Address of an Organisation- Form-4.
- Submit the application forms and all required documents to the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board offices.
- On Completion of this process, it will take the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board will take one day to acknowledge the change of address
- A Letter confirming changes will be sent to the NGO within 3 days
- This application is done free of charge.

- The validity of the change of address is forever.

- One day to update the new address to the boards database
- A Letter confirming changes will be sent to the NGO within 3 days
Instructions
- Sec 20(3) of the Regulations requires that Applicants seeking to change their physical and postal addresses are required to fill Notification of Registered Office or Contact Address of an Organisation- Form-4 also known as the change of address notification.
- This is then filed with Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board upon which the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board updates the database to this effect.
- A Letter confirming changes will be sent to the NGO within 3 days

- The Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Board is a State Corporation established by the Non-Governmental Organizations Co-ordination Act (Cap 19) of 1990. The Board has the responsibility of regulating and enabling the NGO sector in Kenya.
- The Board is currently under the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government.
- All NGO applications should be typed or filled in block letters.
- All applications MUST contain ORIGINAL signatures of the officials and members as applicable.
- All signatures must be originals, scanned copies will not be accepted
