You can use Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) for a fast web experience on your computer or mobile device. You can install the PWA for faster access and additional functionality.
On Computer
Install a PWA
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- Go to a website you want to install.
- At the top right of the address bar, click Install
.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to install the PWA.
Uninstall a PWA Progressive Web Apps
Uninstall from a Windows, Mac, or Linux computer
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- Go to a website you want to uninstall.
- At the top right, click More
Uninstall [site name].
Tip: You can also manage PWAs through chrome://apps
.
Uninstall from a Chromebook
- In your launcher, right click on the PWA’s icon.
- Select Remove from Chrome…
- To clear data, choose Clear data.
- Important: This will clear all data from the corresponding website as well, so you’ll need to sign in again the next time you visit the site.
- Select Remove.
On Android
Install a PWA
- On your Android device, open Chrome

- Go to a website you want to install.
- Tap Add to home screen.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to install.
Uninstall a PWA
- From your app drawer or home screen, open Settings
.
- Tap Apps & Notifications
See all apps.
- Find the PWA you want to remove and tap the icon.
- Tap Uninstall.
On iPhone & iPad
Install a PWA
- On your Android device, open Chrome
.
- Go to a website you want to install.
- Tap Add to home screen.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to install.
Uninstall a PWA
- From your app drawer or home screen, open Settings
.
- Tap Apps & Notifications
See all apps.
- Find the PWA you want to remove and tap the icon.
- Tap Uninstall.
